Having lived abroad and traveled to over 10 countries together, it's safe to say that travel is a cornerstone of our love story. Our first trip, just days after Garison moved to Germany, was to Switzerland. Over four years and countless trips later, Switzerland remains our favorite place in the world. That's why we decided that our wedding had to be there, so we could share our favorite place with the people who mean the most to us.
With travel being such a significant part of our lives, and the fact that we both love aviation, we couldn't think of a better setting for our engagement photos than the TWA Hotel. Stepping inside feels like being transported back to the 1960s, when transatlantic travel was just becoming more accessible!
Our Save The Date was inspired by a real 1960s Switzerland travel poster created by artist David Klein. His trademark was to feature popular landmarks in bright colors and abstracted style, echoing the excitement and enthusiasm of travel in a post-war world.
